Boeing Material Measurements Lab Team is looking for an entry-level RF Test & Evaluation Lab Technician based out Mesa, AZ.

This position provides an opportunity work with an experienced, interdisciplinary and multi-organizational team to create innovative solutions to meet unique and challenging requirements in a laboratory environment. The team takes requirements from programs and applies them to laboratory tests. This technician will be responsible for supporting a team for test setup, testing, verification, and validation of materials. They will work to develop general laboratory skills, mechanical skills, knowledge of RF equipment, strong technical judgment, and the ability to rapidly make and contribute to decisions that balance the overall test program.

This role will require strong collaboration skills to work with an interdisciplinary and multi-organizational team to complete a test program that meets customer requirements. Must have organizational skills and adaptability to work in a fast-paced and continually changing environment.

Position responsibilities
• Setting up, configuring, and using RF electronics and laboratory test equipment
• Layout and setup of wiring and connectors
• Interprets and implements electrical and wiring drawings and plans
• Preparation of test samples for insertion into test systems.
• Working with data acquisition systems
• Conducts and documents tests on products, systems, components, materials, and manufacturing processes and technologies
• Works with engineering team to design, fabricate, build and implement test systems, materials, components, software and methodologies
• Conducts system test preparations by coordinating system integration, fabrication, modification, setup, checkout and teardown
• Conducts tests, processes data, and documents results for review by engineers; participates in test readiness reviews
• Conducts test laboratory activities and maintenance and repairs

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
• Associate’s Degree or higher, a Technical certificate or degree, or 2 or more years of equivalent technical education/apprenticeship
• General experience with electronic lab test equipment

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
• Active US Security Clearance (DoD Secret)
• Education/apprenticeship in a field of study related to electronics, radio frequency, material measurements (electrical properties), antenna theory, transmission line theory, or electromagnetics
• Experience working in laboratories focused on development of electronic components and systems
• Experience working in an electrical lab as a designer or technician
• Experience with the use of electromagnetics test equipment (Vector Network Analyzers/Spectrum Analyzers/Power Meters/Oscilloscopes/RF Amplifiers, etc.)
• Experience with laboratory administration
• Experience with laboratory testing of state-of-the-art digital, analog/mixed-signal, and/or RF integrated circuits
• Experience with laboratory testing of antennas and/or RF/microwave/electro-optical components
• Experience supporting military radar, communications, electronic warfare, or avionics/mission processor program

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. 2 years’ related work
experience).

Summary pay range: 39,100 – 52,900
