As a Payload IPT Lead with Space, you would:

• Direct all phases of COE-related program work from inception through payload development, demonstrations, delivery, and Space Vehicle integration.
• Responsible for cost, schedule, and technical performance of the communications payload subsystem across all payload IPTs.
• Approve all COE-related program budget and schedule baselines and changes.
• Coordinate preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets, and financial terms/conditions of contract.
• Act as primary customer contact for program payload activities, leading program review sessions with customer to ensure cost, schedule, and technical performance goals are met.
• Establish design concepts, criteria, and managesRF, processing, and systems engineering efforts for product research, development, integration, and demonstration.
• Develop new business within the CoE, and align RF and processor product line developments with the program payload.
• Establish milestones, monitor adherence to master plans and schedules, identify program problems, and obtain solutions via real-time management of allocation of resources and changes to contractual specifications.
• Ensure program workforce is supported through hiring, training, mentoring, and talent development.
• Coordinate and prioritize tasking, enable cross-team integration, and drive closure of actions, ultimately delivering a communications payload that meets customer and stakeholder objectives.
• Foster an environment that enables full engagement of team members.
Basic Qualifications:
• Excellent presentation, oral and written skills to facilitate effective and efficient technical and business interchanges with senior customer and management.
• Demonstrated leadership and project management experience accomplishing both strategic objectives and execution of programs simultaneously
• Demonstrated experience leading and developing high performing teams
• Control Account Manager (CAM) experience with demonstrated ability to perform program baseline control
• Detailed knowledge of engineering and program planning throughout development, design, build, test, and integration phases
• Successful development and delivery of space-qualified RF, processor, and/or space-qualified electronics and systems
• Ability to build key relationships across organizations internally within LM and externally with government customer to achieve organizational and program goals
• Demonstrated experience with the risk management process.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, math, physics or other related discipline or equivalent work experience
• Active DoD SECRET security clearance
Desired Skills:
• Effective working in a fast-paced and dynamic multi-disciplinary environment
• Experience with program lifecycle execution from concept phase through end-of-life phase
• Ability to use a broad network of relationships across Lockheed Martin business areas to achieve program and organizational goals.
• Experience creating and managing product development through technology maturation roadmaps.
• Experience with procurement and management of supplier-developed hardware to include collaboration with enterprise subcontract management teams.
• Experience in production of in-house fabricated products to include collaboration with production, planning, and quality assurance organizations.
• Development of requirements and interface definitions resolution/remediation process leading to mission success.
• Business capture process, including estimating, architecture definition, and baseline control.
• Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering
