Jungle val are beautiful easy to grow background plants. Do keep in mind with Jungle Vallisneria, when they are transplanted they will melt back initially but come back strong provided the environment they are being put into is suitable. The leaves will melt back and yellow some, so we recommend trimming them down quite a bit. Sometimes we will trim them to only a few inches above the roots but this isn't always necessary.

The optimal way to fertilize Jungle val is with root tabs. Liquid fertilizer works as well but isn’t as effective as root tabs since these plants feed more at their roots. Jungle Val is a fast growing background plant. This plant, like all plants, grows best with fertilizer and lighting around 6500k. This plant can be grown without co2 or fertilizer, it is an extremely easy and low care plant. While these plants can grow without fertilizer, a nutrient rich substrate and or liquid fertilizer supplement will yield the best results of course.
